HomeMy WebLinkAboutCM_constr_mitigation_descrip_20200422_v1Reference: Construction Mitigation Description - #9 on the Submittal Requirements for Environmental Review (SEPA) for the Downtown Utilities Improvements Project • Proposed Construction Dates: Construction is anticipated to take place between Fall 2020 and December 2022. • Hours and Days of Operation: Typical Schedule will be Monday through Friday during normal business hours (8am to 5pm). Because of the type of work and locations, there will be times where work may be done at night or on weekends to minimize impacts. • Proposed hauling/transportation routes: Any hauling and transportation routes required for this project will be provided by the construction company that is selected for the project. • Measures to be implemented to minimize dust, traffic and transportation impacts, erosion, mud, noise, and other noxious characteristics: o The contractor will be required to perform consistent street sweeping to minimize dust and mud. o Trucks transporting excavated or fill material will be covered or have adequate freeboard to prevent dust and particulates from being blown out of the truck. • Any special hours proposed for construction or hauling (i.e., weekends, late nights): Because of the type of work and locations, there will be times where work may be done at night or on weekends to minimize impacts. • Preliminary traffic control plan: Traffic control plan(s) required for this project will be provided by the construction company that is selected for the project based upon their proposed schedule and work plan. This project includes the replacement of water, sanitary sewer, and storm facilities in a downtown corridor. It is anticipated that this project will require significant traffic control and may include temporary road closures. Traffic control plans will be reviewed by the City for approval.
