I reviewed the deviation request that you has outlined in your email this morning and we agree with your recommendation of using ductile Iron pipe in lieu of PVC for the storm pipe,
furthermore I confirm and agree with using 3" ethafoam between waterline and the new storm line.
We will reflect these changes in our as-build drawings set and will submit to you as a record of construction once all adjustments are done and recorded.

Al informed me that the vertical separation between both the existing water and new storm lines is roughly 3". I will approve of the separation so long as you agree to the following:
The new storm drain (SD) pipe must be Ductile Iron and no pipe joints shall be placed above the existing water mains. The SD pipe will need to centered on the water main and the end-joints
of the SD pipe must be as far away from the water crossing as possible. A 3-inch thick and 2'x2'square ethafoam pad must be placed between the water and the storm pipe at the crossings.
Please let me know if you agree with these changes and submit a revised sheet at your earliest convenience, hope all is well.
