SUBJECT: Transportation Comments for Penny Lofts Variance

I have reviewed the application for the Penny Lofts Variance at 700 S 3rd Street (APN
7231502185) and have the following comment:
The proposed sign extends into the existing Public Right-of-Way on S 3rd Street. In accordance
with RMC 9-2, Excess Right-of-Way Use, the Applicant must submit a Revocable Right of Way
Permit Applicant in order to obtain the ability to place the sign within the Public Right of Way.
The City’s website at the link below defines the Revocable Right of Way Permit Process and
provides you a link to the permit application. This permit does require a monthly fee for the life
that the sign is located within the City’s Public Right-of-Way. The monthly fee is based on the
City’s Fee Schedule.
