Supplementary Report:
At the client’s request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe footing backfill and slope stability.
Footing Excavation
Rep observed contractor backfill with 3’ of crushed rock and native brown silty sand with gravel material. While
onsite, rep used a ½” steel t-probe and observed the footing subgrade to be very dense, firm, unyielding, and
suitable for support of the proposed footing. Rep observed 1’ lifts of native material compacted with a hoe pack
and jumping jack to grade. ESNW rep observed that the contractor had achieved minimum compaction
standards of 95% or greater in areas tested.
Cut Slopes
While onsite, rep observed slopes of the cut slopes to be near vertical. Rep observed that the north slopes of the
excavation were near a 0.75:1 (H:V) slope. Although over-steepened, slopes are stable in current configuration
and stable to work within. The contractor is responsible for providing all safety measures in accordance with state
and federal regulation
ESNW rep will return to observe earthwork activities when requested by client

At the client’s request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe stormwater line subgrade and slope stability.
Stormwater Excavation: ESNW rep observed contractor excavating the stormwater trench to a depth of 3’ for a
length of approximately 50’ of 12’’ stormwater line in the center of the property. Rep used a ½’’ steel T-Probe to
observe soil conditions at the base of the trench. Soil conditions were observed to be very dense, firm, unyielding,

approximately 18’’ of pea gravel and then 1’ lifts of import/ native material compacted with a hoe pack and jumping
jack to grade.
