Project No. Permit No. Supplementary Report: At the client’s request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe and test roof drain backfill and slope stability. Roof Drain Trench ESNW rep observed contractor using a medium sized excavator to excavate a 2’ deep 250’ long trench along the eastern margin to the building. ESNW rep observed contractor placing an 8’’ drain pipe in the trench. Rep used a ½” steel t-probe and observed the subgrade to be very dense, firm, unyielding, and suitable for support of the proposed roof drains. Rep observed contractor backfill with 18’’ of pea gravel then native material to grade. ESNW rep observed that the contractor had achieved minimum compaction standards of 95% or greater in areas tested. Cut Slopes While onsite, rep observed slopes of the cut slopes to be near vertical. Rep observed that the north slopes of the excavation were near a 0.75:1 (H:V) slope. Although over-steepened, slopes are stable in current configuration and stable to work within. The contractor is responsible for providing all safety measures in accordance with state and federal regulation ESNW rep will return to observe earthwork activities when requested by client Jackson Lundgren Field Technician 206-468-0991 1/2 Earth Solutions NWLLC 15365 NE 90th Street, Suite 100 Redmond, WA 98052 Main (425) 449-4704 | Fax (425) 449-4711 www.esnw.com DAILY FIELD REPORT ESNW Rep.
