SUBJECT: Administrative Report
• Repairs to the Cedar River Trail Trestle Bridge at Maplewood Roadside Park are
substantially complete. The Cedar River Trail from Riverview Park over the bridge at
the Cedar River is now open to the public! The Maplewood Roadside Park parking lot
and the 7th Street Spur Trail connecting to the Cedar River Trail remain closed until
work under the bridge is completed and the spur trail is restored. The estimated
timeframe for this work to be completed is early October. This project will ensure
the structural integrity of the bridge and continued safety for trail users.
• The King County Solid Waste Division has issued a Notice of Availability, Notice of
Online Open House and Request for Comments on the Draft Environmental Impact
Statement (EIS) for the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill 2020 Site Development Plan and
Facilities Relocation. For more information about the project and how to submit
your comments, please visit the project website at
https://kingcounty.gov/depts/dnrp/solid-waste/facilities/landfills/cedar-hills-
development.aspx. The 45-day public comment period on the Draft EIS ends October
30.
• Information about preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and
road closures happening this week can be found at http://rentonwa.gov/traffic. All
projects are weather permitting and unless otherwise noted, streets will always
remain open. Preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and road
closures will be at the following locations:
Monday, September 21 through Thursday, September 24, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. Northbound Duvall Avenue NE between NE 10th Street and NE 12th Street
will be restricted to curb lane travel only for asphalt repairs.
Tuesday, September 22 through Thursday, September 24, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. A detour route will be in place along NE 7th Street between Redmond

Avenue NE and Shelton Avenue NE. This portion of roadway will be closed daily
for utility maintenance.
Monday, September 21 through Friday, September 25, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Single lane closure on Ripley Lane North just north of the VMC and the trailhead
going north in support of the WSDOT I-405 Renton to Bellevue Widening and

Monday, September 21 through Friday, September 25, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Intermittent lane closures along Edmonds Avenue NE between NE Sunset
Boulevard and NE 12th Street due to utility construction. Questions may be

Monday, September 21 through Sunday, September 27. Road closure on South
14th Street between Smithers Avenue South and Davis Avenue South for utility
