1. 6—FOOT HIGH TEMPORARY CHAIN LINK FENCE SHALL BE PLACED AT
THE ❑RIPLINE OF THE TREE TO BE SAVED. FENCE SHALL COMPLETELY
ENCIRCLE THE TREE(S). INSTALL FENCE POSTS USING PIER BLOCKS
ONLY. AVOID DRIVING POSTS OR STAKES INTO MAJOR ROOTS.
2. FOR ROOTS OVER 1—INCH IN DIAMETER THAT ARE DAMAGED DURING
CONSTRUCTION, MAKE A CLEAN, STRAIGHT CUT TO REMOVE THE
DAMAGED PORTION. ALL EXPOSED ROOTS SHALL BE TEMPORARILY
COVERED WITH DAMP BURLAP TO PREVENT DRYING, AND SHALL BE
