Will,
Thank you for your comments, you have been added as a party of record for this project and your
comments have been included in the official file for consideration by the decision maker. I asked the
Civil Plan Reviewer assigned to review this project to provide answers to the questions that you had,
below are his responses in red:
Questions/Comments:
- Will the properties have sidewalks and room for street parking? Yes there will be a 5’ sidewalk
with an 8’ planting strip installed along the property frontage and there will be one 6’ wide
parking lane.
- Will the light pole remain in front of the property? If they can put a temporary one if it does
have to be removed temporarily to erect a new one. (please make sure a light pole remains in
that area) The city will require the developer to maintain residential street lighting levels
- Will the project interrupt any of our utilities? (power, water, cable, etc) ---? we arecurrently
working from home with children in school so don't have the ability to have interruptions during
the day without 2 weeks notice. (hopefully not any longer than a few hours if more please
restrict) We can request the developer to give 2 weeks notice to all residents if any interruptions
to services occur.
- Will the hammerhead turn on the corner of 24th and Meadow create sidewalks in that
area? The tree can cause a blindspot at times so just want to make it as safe as possible No
sidewalks are proposed in the hammerhead turn around design.
- Pest abatement: Please make sure the contractors set up traps before and during demolition and
excavation. I will add notes to our pre-construction meeting template about pest control during
the demolition.
- The street was newly paved a few years ago so please take some before pictures to ensure there
isn't damage to the street with the heavy machinery. It is standard practice for our inspectors to
take pictures of the area before any work takes place to document any potential damage.
If you have further questions, please let me know.
