Project No. Permit No. Supplementary Report: At the client's request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe or test cut slopes, footing backfill, building slab subgrade and earthwork activities. Building Slab Subgrade Rep observed contractor placing a-6"--8" lift of pea gravel over the building slab subgrade and covering with vapor barrier. Rep used a %2" steel t-probe and observed slab subgrade to be very dense, firm, unyielding and suitable for proposed building slab. Cut Slopes While onsite, rep observed south slopes of the cut slopes to be near vertical and covered in plastic sheeting. Rep observed that the east slopes of the excavation were near a 0.75:1 (H:V) slope. Although over -steepened, slopes are stable in current configuration and stable to work within. The contractor is responsible for providing all safety measures in accordance with state and federal regulation. Rep observed that contractor had sloped the southeast corner of the footing excavation to a 1:1 (H:V). ESNW rep will return to observe earthwork activities when requested by client Fig. 1 Contractors placing 6" - 8" lift of pea gravel Jackson Lundqren Field Technician 206-468-0991
