Yes Project No. Permit No. At the client’s request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe and test compaction of ultra-block wall backfill within the Weatherly Inn development. While onsite the following was observed: Ultra-Block Wall Backfill Compaction Testing: ESNW rep was informed by the contractor that a small ultra-block wall had been installed and completely backfilled within the central area of the Weatherly Inn development (pictured). ESNW rep arrived onsite and observed that the contractor was not onsite, and that the ultra-block wall had been backfilled to approximate top of wall. ESNW rep observed that the contractor had utilized onsite native unweathered grey glacial tills compacted via jumping jack compactor. However, ESNW rep observed that due to the over-optimum moisture content of the wall backfill material (14-15%), the contractor did not achieve minimum compaction requirements of 95% or greater in the areas tested, and that re-compaction of the wall backfill would be required. ESNW rep will return at the request of the client. Trevor Healy, G.I.T. Senior Field Technician (206)-498-9751
