At the client's request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe storm line backfill and earthwork activities.
Storm Line Backfill
While onsite, rep observed contractor use a small sized excavator to excavate a storm line. Rep observed trench to
be W3'xD3' approximately. Contractor was observed placing 12" corrugated pipe at the toe of the excavation and
embedding the pipe in an 8" lift of 5/8" minus crushed rock. Contractor expressed plans to continue storm line
excavation and backfill tomorrow, September 24, 2019. Rep will return to observe and test the backfill as needed.

At the client's request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe baker tank turbidity, rockeries and earthwork activities.
Baker Tank Turbidity
While onsite, rep observed that baker tanks were filled with onsite stormwater. Rep used a turbidity meter and took
turbidity test on stored storm water from baker tanks. Rep observed 16.0 NTUs and 17 NTUs meeting the public
stormwater requirements.
Rockeries
Rep used a'/" steel t-probe and observed the keyway for the rockery located at the upper tier of the mid -east perimeter
of the site. Rep observed the keyway to be very dense, firm, unyielding, and suitable for support of the proposed
rockery. Rep observed contractor place a few courses of rocks. Rep will return tomorrow, September 25, 2019, to
observe the continuation of the rockery construction.
ESNW rep will return to observe earthwork activities when requested by client.

FAt the client's request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe and test water line backfill, baker tank turbidity, rockeries,
vault excavation and earthwork activities.
Water Line Backfill
While onsite, rep observed contractor use a large excavator to excavate a water line (W5'xD7'). Rep observed
contractor place an 8" ductile iron pipe in a 12" ductile casing at the toe of the trench. Rep observed contractor bedding
the pipe in a 12" lift of pea gravel. Rep observed contractor place brown silty sand with gravel material in loose 12%
18" lifts and compacting with a hoe pack. Rep took compaction tests on backfill and observed material to be adequate
of at least 95% of its maximum dry density (130.7 lbs./cu. ft.).
Baker Tank Turbidity
Rep observed that baker tanks were filled with onsite stormwater. Rep used a turbidity meter and took turbidity test
on stored storm water from full baker tank. Rep observed 7.9 NTUs meeting the public stormwater requirements.
Rockeries
Rep observed that the rockery contractor had completed the third -tier rockery at along the upper east perimeter to the
site. Rep observed that contractor had backfilled the rockery boulders with 2"4' quarry spalls.
Vault Excavation
Rep observed contractor grading the vault excavation to design elevation with a large excavator. Rep observed the
south slope to be near vertical, the east and north slope to be 1:1 (H:V) to a near 7' vertical toe, and the west slope to
be (H:V) to a near 3' vertical toe. Although over -steepened, slopes are stable in current configuration and stable to
work within. The contractor is responsible for providing all safety measures in accordance with state and federal
regulation.
ESNW rep will return to observe earthwork activities when requested by client.
