Rockeries While onsite, rep used a'/z" steel t-probe and observed the keyway for the rockery located at the northeast corner of the site to be very dense, firm, unyielding, and suitable for support of the proposed rockery. Rep observed contractor use a medium sized excavator to place a few courses of rocks with a 4" perforated pipe behind the basecourse. Pipe was observed embedded in an 8" lift of 1 "-2" wash rock wrapped in a geotextile. Above the wash rock rep observed contractor backfilling the rockery face with 2"-4" quarry spalls. Earthwork Activities Rep observed contractor use a large dozer, a large excavator, and several haul trucks to excavate material from site. Rep observed contractor exporting material offsite.
