A designation by The World Health Organization and AARP that recognizes the City of Renton’s commitment to providing a livable community where all generations are valued, thrive and age with respect. The designation starts a three-year process. The city will assess how it currently meets its residents' needs and identifies potential gaps and future actions. The process will include residents, non-profit organizations, businesses, and faith-based communities from all parts of the city. The process concludes with the development of an action plan demonstrating how the city will support the eight domains of livability identified by the WHO AGENDA ITEM #1. a) 8 DOMAINS IDENTIFIED BY AARP & WHO AGENDA ITEM #1. a) What’s Been Done Application/acquisition of the Age-Friendly Designation Logo creation. Engage with seniors including those who identify as LGBTQ or represent groups that have not given input on prior survey topics.AGENDA ITEM #1. a)
