The motion was seconded by Leslie Anderson. All were in favor; motion carried. 3.Approval of Minutes – Leslie Anderson motioned to approve the November 17, 2020 minutes. Motion was seconded by Joe Scovel. All were in favor; motion carried. 4.Virtual Meetings – Guy Williams, Human Services Manager Committee meetings will occur via Zoom in 2021. Suggestions were shared for having successful virtual meetings include turning on video when possible to connect with other members and remaining on mute to minimize distracting noises (when a member is not speaking). A.Mission and Vision B.Member Duties and Responsibilities C.Group Norms D.Robert’s Rules E.2021 Brainstorming 1)Teresa Kenney suggested the committee examine how Covid-19 has impacted the budget for funding area programs and to revisit the percentage funding provided to each category (Homeless Services & Housing, Basic Needs, Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault, Health & Wellness, Economic Opportunity, and Connector Services). 2)Members expressed interest in hearing from newly funded agencies during 2021 meetings. There are 16 new agencies for 2021-2022 funding cycle. 3)Teresa Kenney suggested reviewing the Rating Tool used in evaluating program applications for funding. 7.2020 Year End Funding Update – Dianne Utecht, Human Services Coordinator City of Renton Human Services Advisory Committee January 19, 2021 Page 2 A.A high percentage of agencies met their goals in 2020 (see PowerPoint slides 8-10 for details). B.Kiwanis Clothes Bank had to close in May-June. C.Given Covid-19, performance goals may need to be adjusted for programs in 2021. B. Joe Scovel inquired if the agencies not funded for 2021-2022 had requested feedback on their applications.
