Madden and Kim and Mr. Singla: The City of Renton is in receipt of your respective requests for hearing in this matter, City of Renton Code Case No. CODE-20-000321. The City’s Community & Economic Development Administrator assigned authority to hear code enforcement appeal hearings such as this one to the City’s Hearing Examiner. A hearing in this matter is scheduled for July 21, 2020, beginning at 10:00 AM. The hearing will be held virtually/telephonically as further explained below. The July 21, 2020 hearing date is designed to provide all parties with a speedy resolution in compliance with RMC 1-3-2.E.2. The City will agree to reschedule the hearing to a mutually available date before August 9, 2020, if all parties agree to such date and waive or toll their right to a speedy decision. Without agreement of all parties, any request for a continuance or a hearing schedule should be made in writing to the Hearing Examiner through the City Clerk’s office, with all parties copied on the correspondence. The City Clerk’s office email address is cityclerk@rentonwa.gov. Per the Governor’s Emergency Proclamation 20-28 and its amendments, the City is prohibited from holding an in-person hearing at this time. Therefore, a virtual/telephonic hearing will be held regarding your code compliance appeal by the Renton Hearing Examiner by means of the Zoom video- conferencing web application which includes a local phone-in option. You may attend the hearing virtually/telephonically on July 21, 2020 beginning at 10:00 AM by any of the following means1: HEX-000082 1.
