Renton City Officials, My name is Emily Kelln. I am a member of the Renton community and I am writing to demand you abandon the ordinance discussed at tonight's meeting. Specifically, the interim zoning controls for homeless shelters. What is being proposed is nothing less than evil. It is always evil to force homeless people from safe shelter. Even moreso at the beginning of what is likely to be a harsh winter. That you are even considering doing this at this time of year, during a global pandemic no less is morally repugnant. I can't even begin to express the depth of my disgust that the people meant to represent me in my city government would even consider this. Every person that will be affected by this ordinance is a member of this community as well. It is your solemn responsibility to ensure the safety of that community. To do otherwise is, to put it plainly, a dereliction of that duty. Drop this ordinance immediately. In solidarity with my unhoused neighbors, Emily Kelln
