Subject:Re: I live in Renton and support hotel housing for the homeless
I have a question for Council staff. Was CDC guidance considered while drafting this ordinance?

Thanks.

I live in Renton and support hotel housing for the homeless 100%. I can't imagine the heartlessness that leads to this
rushed decision during a global pandemic when people are hurting, in need and at risk for death and sickness if they
have no place to go. This type of short sightedness is selfish and mean.
I am appalled that you as leaders would not have more empathy and community mindedness to support people who
are suffering.People without homes are always othered and treated less than human. This has to end, especially in the
economic and health crisis we are in today. The economic conditions of this area make it hard to maintain housing,
even if you are working a full time job.
Please dig deep into your hearts and reconsider this cruel legislation.
