AMENDMENT NO. _2_ TO AGREEMENT FOR EXTENDING THE
TERM OF CONTRACT AND ADJUSTING TAX RATE TO 2021
FIGURE FOR CAG-20-398
THIS AMENDMENT, dated March 9, 2021, is by and between the City of Renton (the “City”), a
Washington municipal corporation, and Precision Striping (“Contractor”), a Washington sole
proprietorship. The City and the Contractor are referred to collectively in this Amendment as the
“Parties.” Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date
signed by both parties.
Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Contractor under Agreement CAG-20-398, dated
October 20, 2020, to provide necessary services for parking lot striping at various city owned
properties including the Cedar River Trail (referred to herein as the “Agreement”);
Whereas, in December 2020, the Parties amended the Agreement to change the time for
performance, extended the time of completion to March 19, 2021;
Whereas, the Parties wish to further amend the Agreement to change the time for performance,
in order to give more time for suitable weather conditions and adjust the tax rate to the 2021
figure of 10.1%.
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-20-398 is amended as follows:
1. Term of Agreement and Time of Performance: Section 3, Time of Performance, is
amended to read as follows: “The Term of this Agreement shall end at the completion of
the Scope of Services which completion shall occur no later than May 19, 2021.”
2. Section 5, Agreement Sum, is amended to a total of $11,756.48. This figure amounts to
a $10.68 increase to account for a .1% increase in sales tax.
3. All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties have voluntarily entered into this Amendment as of the date
last signed by the Parties below.
