Strong Tiger Mountain Homes / Mark Fury Site Works/Dan Sunny, 60’s THE FOLLOWING WAS NOTED: Associated Earth Sciences, Inc. (AESI) arrived on site in the PM in order to observe earthwork activities. Upon arrival we met with Mark and Dan. Site Fill: While we were onsite we observed Fury fill for SE 165th St (Fig 1). They filled approximately 1’ thick with fill comprised of imported gravelly sand with silt. Fill was placed in lifts 6” thick compacted utilizing a vibratory roller. AESI completed compaction tests at various depths below final grade and achieved results which meet minimum compaction specifications (Table 1). Prior to our arrival Fury had partially backfilled for temporary sediment pond located at the southwest corner of the site (Fig 1). Pond was stripped of loose, unconsolidated material from the bottom prior to backfill. Strippings were seen along the edges of the pond. Fury filled backfilled approximately 2’ thick. We were informed that backfill material and methods were consistent with those referenced above. AESI completed compaction tests at various depths below final grade and achieved results which meet minimum compaction specifications (Table 1). While we were onsite we observed Fury over-excavate and backfill for Lots 6/7 shared driveway (Fig 1). They removed approximately 4’ thick of pre-existing fill until native silty sand with gravel was encountered. Base was firm and unyielding as assessed by AESI utilizing a 1/2” diameter steel soil probe. Backfill material and methods were consisted with those referenced above. AESI completed compaction tests at various depths below final grade and achieved results which meet minimum compaction specifications (Table 1). AESI departed the site in the PM and will upon request.
