Applying for a Neighborhood Grant
Final : 4/13/2020
City of Renton will be utilizing an online portal for Neighborhood Grants. Registration on the site is required.
From your Customer Dashboard after Signing In:
You can use the Menu bar and the Apply drop down to navigate to Permits
and select βAllβ if your selection is not showing.
Step 1: Locations
Click the blue tile and search by either address or parcel. Additional
instructional help at the top of the screen.
Click Next.
Step 2: Type β Permit Details
Permit Type will auto-populate to Neighborhood Grant. Add a detailed description of your neighborhood grant project
that briefly summarizes the proposal.
Click Next.
Step 3: Contacts
Your contact information will auto populate as the Applicant. You will need to add all other key stakeholders who are
involved in the implementation of the project.
Step 4: More Info β More Info
The items shown in red with an asterisks (*) are required items. For the grant type, please select the project type that
you are applying for by using the drop down. Add an event/project start date if known at this time.
Provide a detailed description of the project location including site address and all other key characteristics that better
define the project/event location.

Click Next.
Step 5: Attachments
A completed neighborhood grant application proposal and organization commitment letter is required to complete a
neighborhood grant application.
If necessary, please attach all other documentation that further demonstrate commitment to the project proposal, or
further illustrate project details that cannot be done so within the project application.
A City of Renton staff person will contact you if any additional documentation is needed for review after the grant has
been submitted. To add an attachment, select the file category by using the drop down, then click the blue tile, browse
and select your file.
.PDF and .JPG files are supported. If your file has a different file type, please convert to the supported file types before
submitting.
Click Next.
Step 6: Review and Submit
The information that was added in the previous 5 steps will be displayed for review. If you wish to revise or add
information, please use the Back button located in the bottom left hand corner.
Click Submit.
Congratulations!
You will be redirected to the Permit Details page to receive additional information about the permit to include the
Permit Number, Status, Workflow and Fees.
