2.4. FENCING SHALL BE INSTALLED AS NECESSARY TO RESTRICT TRAFFIC TO THE CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE.
2.5. WHENEVER POSSIBLE. THE ENTRANCE SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED ON A FIRM, CON PACTED SUBGRADE. THIS CAN SUBSTANTIALLY INCREASE THE
E F FECTIVEN ES OF THE PAD AND RE DUCE THE NEED FOR MAINTENANCE.
3- MAINTENANCE STANDARDS
3.1. QUARRY SPALLS SHALL BE ADDED IF THE PAD IS NO LONGER IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS.
32. IF THE ENTRANCE IS NOT PREVENTING SEDIMENT FROM BEING TRACKED ONTO PAVEMENT, THEN ALTERNATIVE MEASURES TO KEEP THE STREETS FREE OF
BEDIMENT SHALL BE USED. THIS MAY INCLUDE STREET SWEEPING, AN INCREASE IN THE DIMENSIONS OF THE ENTRANCE, OR THE INSTALLATION OF A WHEEL
WASH. IF WASHING IS USED, IT SHALL BE DONE ON AN AREA COVERED WITH CRUSHED ROCK. AND WASH WATER SHALL DRAIN TO SEDIMENT TRAP OR POND.
3-3. ANY SED I ME NT THAT IS TRACKED ONTO PAVEMENT SHALL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY BY SWEEPING. THE SEDIMENT COLLECTED BY SWEEPING SHALL BE
REMOVED OR STABILIZED ON SITE- THE PAVEMENT SHALL NOT BE CLEANED BY WASHING DOWN THE STREET. EXCEPT WHEN SWEEPING IS INEFFECTIVE AN
THERE ISATHPEAT TO PUBLIC SAFETY, IF IT IS NECESSARY TO WASH THE STREETS. A SMALL SUMP MUST BE CONSTRUCTED, THE SEDIMENT WOULD THEN BE

3.3. IT IS IMPORTANT TO CHECK THE UPHILL SIDE OF THE FENCE FOR SIGNS OF THE FENCE CLOGGING AND ACTING AS A BARRIER TO FLOW AND THEN CAUSING
CHANNELIZATION OF FLOWS PARALLEL TO THE FENCE. IF THIS OCCURS, REPLACE THE FENCE OR REMOVE THE TRAPPED SEDIMENT.

12. ANY AREAS OF EXPOSED SOILS, INCLUDING ROADWAY EMBANKMENTS, THAT WILL NOT BE DISTURBED FOR TWO DAYS DURING THE WET SEASON (OCTOB ER 1ST
THROUGH APRIL 30TH) OR SEVEN DAYS DURING THE DRY SEASON {NAY 1STTHROUGH SEPTEMBER 30TH) SHALL. BE IMMEDIATELY STABILIZER WITH THE APPROVE ❑

14. ANY AREA NEEDING ADDITIONAL ESC MEASURES_ NOT REQUIRING IMMEDIATE ATTENTION, SHALL BE AD DRESS ED WITHIN SEVEN (7) DAYS.
15. THE ESC DIM PS ON INACTIVE SITES SHALL BE INSPECTED AND MAINTAINED AT MINIMUM OF ONCE A MONTH OR WITHIN 24 HOURS FOLLOW NGA STORM EVENT.
INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE SHALL OCCUR MORE FREQUENTLY AS REQUIRED BY THE CITY-
16. BEFORE COMMENCEMENT OF ANY CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY, CATCH BASIN INSERTS PER THE CITY STANDARD PLAN 216-30 SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR ALL STO R6,L
DRAIN INLETS DOWN SLO PE AND WITHIN 500 FEET OF A DISTU REED OR CONSTRUCTION AREA, UNLESS THE RUNOFF THAT ENTERS THE INLET WILL BE CONVEYED
TO A SEDIMENT POND OR TRAP. ALL CATCH BASIN INSERTS SHALL BE PERIODICALLY INSPECTED AND REPLACED AS NECESSARY TO ENSURE FULLY FUNCTIONING
CONDITION.
17. AT NO TIME SHALL SEDIMENT ACCUMULATION EXCEED 213 OF THE CAPACITY OF THE CATCH BASIN SUMP. ALL CATCH BASINS AND CONVEYANCE LINES SHALL BE
CLEANED PRIORTO PAVING, THE CLEANING OPERATION SHALL NOT FLUSH SEDIMENT -LADEN WATER INTO THE DOWNSTREAM SYSTEM.
18. ANY PERMANENT STORMWATER FACILITY LOCATION USED AS A TEMPO RARY SETTLING BASIN SHALL BE MODIFIED WITH THE NECESSARY ESC BMPS AND SHALL
PROVIDE ADEQUATE STORAGE CAPACITY, IF THE TEMPORARY FACILITY IS TO ULTIMATELY FUNCTION AS AN INFILTRATION SYSTEM IN ITS PERMANENT STATE. THE
TEMPORARY FACILITY SHALL BE ROUGH GRADED SD THAT THE BOTTOM AND SIDES ARE AT LEAST THREE FEET ABOVE THE FINAL GRADE OF THE PERMANENT
FACILITY.
