Regarding your comments on ground water drainage, that is something that we will be reviewing as part of the development review process. The City has adopted the 2017 City of Renton Surface Water Design Manual, which this project will be required to comply with. The applicant submitted a drainage report (Technical Information Report) with their project application materials. According to their submitted report a Stormwater detention vault is proposed to be installed within the new driveway to collect surface water generated from the development proposal. The project file is available online and can be viewed here if you would like more information. A portion of our property borders the southwest corner of the above property. How will this proposed construction affect the ground water drainage for those of us with property on the downward slope below this property? We are concerned about more land being covered with buildings and driveways. When a very large home was built and areas paved on Field Ave. by the Mormon Tabernacle, we noticed our property developed streams of water flowing down to the street from October through February before it could soak into the ground. This is not healthy nor does it enhance our property in any way. We feel building more structures on 857 Field Ave. NE will only make matters worse. Consideration should be given to the issue of ground water in this area. Please take this into consideration in your decision making. We would like to be made a party of record and receive information at athomascarlson@gmail.com. Respectfully yours, A. Thomas Carlson CAUTION: This email originated from outside the City of Renton.
