Supplementary Report:
At the client’s request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe and test water main line backfill at the Weatherly Inn
development.
Water Main Trench Backfill:
EDSNW rep arrived onsite and observed contractor had backfilled approximately 100’ of 3’ deep trench around a
12’’ductile iron pipe between CB#12 and the Modular Wetland vault with 1 ¼’’ minus recycled crushed concrete
compacted in 12’’ lifts to grade with a jumping jack. ESNW rep observed contractor adding water to material in
order to reach optimum moisture. ESNW rep used a ½’’ steel T-probe and found the subgrade to be suitably
dense, firm, and unyielding. ESNW rep observed that the contractor had achieved minimum compaction
standards of 95% or greater in tested locations.
ESNW rep will return as requested to continue observation and testing of further earthwork activities.
