b)Civit Service Rule Revision I0.02:
Commissioner Phelan asked why the Gvi)Service rules require the Fire and Emergency Services Chief to
proVide the Commissian with a written'explanation to the Cornmission if the Chief does not select the top
candidate from the eligibility list to be promoted. Chief Peterson said that rule has been around prior to
him being promoted to Chief. Chief Milosevich said that he provided the rule change to.the Guild '
President and he did not indicate that he had an issue with the language.
There was discussion that for there to be consistency,in.addition to the language change to Ru1e 10.02,
there needed to be a change to Rule 11.01. The Civi(Service Secretary wil)bring draft language to T1.01
for approvai at the next Civi)Service meeCing.
