• : .Executive Committee—Peter,"Paul and Elizabeth gave a presentation to the Renton
Rota..ry last month. Rotary donated 1500 pounds of food.on their belialf to First Harvest.: ,
• Arts and Antique Watk,8/23/14—Paul reported that 34 artists and 24 businesses
participated in the 9th Annual Arts and Antique Walk. It was a great team effort antl the
response was very favorable. RMAC had an inforrnation tabl.e. '
� • FilmFrenzy-An estimated 500 people are expected to,participate in the Oct 2914
events. Participants go beyond Renton and reps from Holly Shorts in Los Angeles,will be
amongst the judges: See announcements for specific events:

• Goin�Global: Information regarding plague-fabrication and cos#s will be researched by
; Evelyn; We would like to sch:edule the plaque installation and dedication for the;third
week in September, pending the Mayor and Artist's schedule.
• Renfon Technical Colle�e—Is opening a n'ew Culinary R'oom and requested RMAC
input/help'to develop a "Rotating Art Gallery". :Elizabeth will:contact th:em and Paul is

'• Renton Historical Museum: LirStewart stated that last year Renton History IVluseum. _`
presented "AYear of Art"with rotating exhibits. For the 2014/2015 they are seeking ;�:
:_ partnershi:ps for exhibits. Some possible ideas are needed from RMA.C,and oth.er I.ocal
artists: One idea'udas an historical timeline of going to Renton's movie theatres. The
Roxie Theatre's sign is p.art of the Historicai Museum's holdings and a display in the
vacant American,Dra.pery windows will be explored by Liz and Elizabeth.: Liz also said
� _ that she viiill no longer administer Renton's social media accounts(Facebook/Twitter).
• Down Town Revitalization: John Collum reported that fhere is a small budget for ' `
' public improvement projects in downtown Renton. Some of the possible projec#s, �
� include: Banners—Replacements needed for either seasonal or a fresh new conceptual -
design (65 needed.for 3�d Ave). For instance, areas could be "branded" with a common
logo or a written design..:Murals-Fill in for empty spac;es and blank walls dpwntown. .:

John is working with.the Downtown Association on the overall design needs and to:
ensure a-business driven efforf for the downtown focus.
° • RMAC Vacancies: Currently there are three positions open. A.general announcement. '
