Old Business:
GoinGlob'al Update—A protective coating was added to the globes for better, safety. Benson Shaw is in the
process of developing a mainfenance schedule. (Completion TBD) , ,
EmerinUpdate—The sculpture is undergoing investigation by ArtTech to determine repair requirementsand
, costs because significant damage was#ound after it was removed from its Carco site. The amount of$20,000
was allocated in_the Transportation budget for reinstallation at the Garden Ave location, including$9,300
allocated in the.budget for repairs. The estimate will be reviewed by the RMAC once,it is submifted.
Four Cows Proiect Update—RMAC selected artist;John Sisko, has submitted his second design for the Shattuck
Ave location. The first design that includetl a carousel was rejected because of potential liability: The new
design invades the Burlington Northern Rail Road right of way and they won't make:an exception: To date the
artist has been paid $7,250 for both designs. The South Renton Neighborhood Committee, which is a huge
stakeholder in this project;'has envisioned a more"interactive" installation, which the latest design does not
provide. After discussion, it was decided that the RMAC and'the South Renton Neighborhood Committee
; ' ,
needed to meet together and determine their design requirements. Elizabeth will find out a convenient
meeting time and date.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:33 pm.
