APPRUVAC i3F AGENDA/MINUTES— Minutes of the previaus trneeting were
read, corrections were noted and a motion was made.and seconded and the
minutes were approved.
PRESIDENT5 REMARKS: President Pat Baylor reported that ti�e new tape
recorder has been ordered and should be delivered this coming Wednesday.
Pat gave Treasurer Sandra Polley a receipt far Pats reimbursement far the
recarder. Reimlaursernent will be dane upon receipt of the recarder.

Shawn acknowfedged Lisa Wivag and her respon'se ta the medical emergency
that accurred last week. He said she responded in such a professional way.
Kris Stimpson said �isa will be acknawledged by the Mayor in February.
Shawn had a check from NARFE for$100.0{}that was given to Treasurer Sandra
Po(ley. Shawrn reported that $415.00 was made from the sa(e of caffee and
donuts at the Hoiiday Bazaar and that maney went to the Advisary Committee.
A request was made for a check to the City of Renton in the arnounfi of$303:08
that was for pizza and donuts.

On October 27th we had 120 7th graders from the Renton School Dist.
performing in the cafeteria and 140 7th graders on October 29th. We anticipate �
approximately 120 7th graders on November 4tn
Sign up for the Rotary Club Thanksgiving Day Luncheon is now available. This
is a free luncheon held on Thanksgiving Day for seniors only but you must
. obtain a ticket to attend. Tickets are available at the.Reception Desk.
Cher the� cook with Senior Services has left and we have not found a
replacement for her-yet. The volunteer who has been filling in is not interested
` in a full time commitment. We are still trying to find a; permanent
'` replacement. �
Windows in the Pool room have been repaired and Shawn would like to meet
with Bill Clapp and Charles Robinson regarding the window tinting that still
� � needs to be done. '
RECREATION COORDINATOR—Debbie Little y �
Senior Services as we have known it will become Sound Generation after the
first of the year. Also, Senior Information and Assistance will become
Community Living Connections.
Members of the Renton Fire Department met with Staff for a debriefing after
last week's emergency at the center.
A recap on questions about the Holiday Bazaar have been defermined. We
will keep the hours the same, 9:00 A.M. -3:00 P.M. Also we will stick with a
menu of Pizza, Caesar Salad and a Banana. � ,
Debbie has been working on an extended travel trip. October 2016 a trip to
American Music City is planned. It will include two nights in Nashville, two
nights in Memphis and three nights in New Orleans. The trip is inclusive and
will cost about$3100 each person: -
We have a fun trip coming up on Nov. 17th. A trip to Archie McPhee and lunch
at Hale's Ale's Pub. If you are not familiar with Archie McPhee's it is a little bit
of everything. For more detail check your Golden Opportunities brochure.
Don't forget the Senior Center is closed on November 11,Veteran's Day. �
DIRECTOR/ADMINISTRATOR REPORT—Kris Stimpson
Kris responded to Peggy Budziu inquiry about the obstructed drain in the back
of the center. Kris said it has been fixed. The question about signs to 'indicate
� that we have surveillance cameras is being considered.
Kris wanted the committee to know that the Senior Advisory Committee
minutes of our meetings will 6e,on the Senior Center web page.
The Highlands Library will open early 2016 or maybe a little later.
The metered counter that will eventually be installed at the Senior Center is
being tested at Renton Community Center first. , �

Ruby Griffin gave a repart an visitors to the Rentan Seniar Center during the
month af October. As compiete as Ruby feels her repart is she believes there
are peopie that come in that are nat accauntecf for. The insta{latian of a
metered counter will eliminate that problem.
There is currently a list of Sub-Committee Task Definitians describing each
committee's respansibilities. Pafi Baylor said it needs to be revised. in addition
to a list Mij suggested that when a new person comes on a committee it would
be beneficial ta always leave a person on who has served previously. �
