Specifically, staff proposes to remove the provision that allows the minimum front yard and secondary front yard setback to be reduced to 0 feet through the site plan review process within these zones. #D-190: Applicability of Urban Design Regulations - Revises the Urban Design Regulations (RMC 4-3-100) intended to help implement the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan applicable to the conversion of a non-residential use to a residential use. #D-192: Commercial Fence Regulations - Revises RMC 4-4-040 to ensure fences and hedges within commercial and industrial uses are consistent with the aesthetic objectives intended by the code section, specifically with regard to fence height and material standards, as well as impacts on the visibility of street frontage landscaping in our commercial and industrial spaces. PROJECT LOCATION: Citywide LEAD AGENCY: City of Renton Environmental Review Committee Department of Community & Economic Development The City of Renton Environmental Review Committee has determined that it does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). This Determination of Non-Significance is issued under WAC 197-11-340. Because other agencies of jurisdiction may be involved, the lead agency will not act on this proposal for fourteen (14) days. Appeals of the environmental determination must be filed in writing on or before 5:00 p.m. on June 23, 2021. Due to Governor Jay Inslee’s Proclamation 20-25 (“Stay Home, Stay Healthy”), the City Clerk’s Office is working remotely. For that reason, appeals must be submitted electronically to the City Clerk at cityclerk@rentonwa.gov. The appeal fee, normally due at the time an appeal is submitted, will be collected at a future date. Appeals to the Hearing Examiner are governed by RMC 4-8-110 and additional information regarding the appeal process may be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office, cityclerk@rentonwa.gov. If the situation changes such that the City Clerk’s Office is open when you file your appeal, you have the option of filing the appeal in person. Per WAC197-11-340(2)(c) any person, affected tribe, or agency may submit comments to the City within fourteen days of the date of issuance of the DNS. Appeals of the environmental determination must be filed in writing on or before 5:00 p.m. on June 23, 2021.
