Supplementary Report:
At the client’s request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe stormwater trench backfill at the Weatherly Inn
development.
Stormwater Trench Backfill:
ESNW rep arrived onsite and observed contractor had backfilled approximately 15’ of 4’ deep trench around a
12’’ductile iron pipe running East from the site entrance with 5/8’’ minus crushed rock compacted in 12’’ lifts to
grade with a jumping jack. ESNW rep observed contractor adding water to material in order to reach optimum
moisture. ESNW rep used a ½’’ steel T-probe and observed the stormwater trench backfill and subgrade
subgrade to be suitably dense, firm, and unyielding and suitable for support of the proposed 12’’ ductile
steel stormwater line.
ESNW rep will return as requested to continue observation and testing of further earthwork activities.

Supplementary Report:
At the client’s request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe light pole basin backfill and test stormwater line backfill
at the Weatherly Inn development.
Stormwater Trench Backfill:
ESNW rep arrived onsite and observed contractor had backfilled approximately 50’ of 4’ deep trench around a
12’’ductile iron pipe running East from the site entrance with 5/8’’ minus crushed rock compacted in 12’’ lifts to
grade with a jumping jack. ESNW rep observed contractor adding water to material in order to reach optimum
moisture. ESNW rep used a ½’’ steel T-probe and observed the subgrade to be suitably dense, firm, and
unyielding. ESNW rep observed that the contractor had achieved minimum compaction standards of 95%
or greater in tested locations.
ESNW rep will return as requested to continue observation and testing of further earthwork activities.
