RE: Bethany Corner Short Plat Deferral Decision (U16006722 / DEF21003104)
Dear Ms. Dougherty:
Your request to defer the following items inside the Bethany Corner Short Plat is approved until July 2,
2022.
DESCRIPTION QTY UNIT TOTAL COST
Number of Luminaires and Poles 10 EA. $60,000.00
In order to meet the requirements of the deferral, please forward a security device payable to the City
of Renton in the amount of $90,000.00 which represents 150 percent of the estimated cost of the
deferral items stated above. The security device must be in place with the City prior to recording of the
plat.
This decision is subject to a fourteen (14) day appeal period from the date of this letter per RMC 4‐8‐
110. Any appeals of the administrative decision must be filed with the City Clerk, along with the required
appeal fee, by 5:00 pm, July 16, 2021. Due to Governor Jay Inslee’s Proclamation 20‐25 (“Stay Home,
Stay Healthy”), the City Clerk’s Office is working remotely. For that reason, appeals must be submitted
electronically to the City Clerk at cityclerk@rentonwa.gov. The appeal fee, normally due at the time an
appeal is submitted, will be collected at a future date. Appeals to the Hearing Examiner are governed by
RMC 4‐8‐110 and additional information regarding the appeal process may be obtained from the City
Clerk’s Office, cityclerk@rentonwa.gov. If the situation changes such that the City Clerk’s Office is open
when you file your appeal, you have the option of filing the appeal in person.
