i Terry Higashiyama welcomed the Mayor and CAO, Jay Covingtan. Mayor Law thanked ,

group of people that volunteer their time to contribute to the quality of life in our
community. , .
� Training , � �
Terry remi`nded the Board members of the notification from the Clerk's office on
required training that must be completed by December 15th. She encouraged �
everyone to take 15 minutes and watch the video and complete the verification form
then return to the Clerk's office as instructed. � ' �
Introduction of Councilmember Perez
Terry introduced the newly appointed Councilmember Perez to all in attendance. Ms.
. Perez gave a little background on herself, her experience and everyone present
introduced themselves.

� IV. WELCOME
, Each Chairperson gave a brief recap of 2014. Cynthia Burns, Chair, noted the greatest ,
highlight of the year was the opening of Meadow Crest Playground. Board members
also participated in Earth Day/Arbor Day,�Family and Films and numerous other
events. Each Board member participates in other city activities such as AI Dieckman
with the Park Ranger Program, Mike O'Donin and the City Center Planning Committee,
Marlene and the Dog Park, Cynthia works with the Renton Youth Symphony, Larry ,' `
Reyman with the environment and salmon education, and Tim with the Renton River ' - `�
Days Board. Lynn reviewed the 2014 Library Board goals including community support
of REACH, marketing, expanding Renton School District to ensure all studehts have .
library cards, annual report to Council, attend the Board and Commission Training,
participate in neighborhood picnics program and Renton River Days,, ,
Elizabeth Stewart, Museum Manager, welcomed the Board and staff to the Museum.
She expressed how happy she was to host the Holiday meeting each year giving all the
opportunity'to visit the maseum and see their newest exhibit(s).
V. ADJOURNMENT .
A motion was made by and seconded to adjourn the December meeting at -
