Scott,
Glad to hear that cleaned up some confusion. I am not involved in the Pre-Application process but will provide you the
links to request an appointment. City Hall is still closed at this time, but we have been scheduling for virtual meetings.
Typically, we do not do Pre-Apps for single family homes, but with your case we suggested it to ensure that you know all
the requirements of your full vision for the property. Please describe in your application your full vision as that will give
the reviewers a chance to review everything.

Well that explains some of the confusion, this is an email that to the best of my knowledge was never sent to me. My
architect and I are happy to have a meeting with the city of Renton on the feasibility of developing our lot. We’ll bring
our feasibility study file from April 2017, when prior to our survey in February 2020, we all thought the boundary line
that all 19 houses to our south share included us.
Well moving forward, can you or someone meet with my architect and I sometime after 2:00 this Thursday July 8th? My
architect and I have proof of complete vaccination.
I appreciate your time, thank you.

Scott,
Below is the email chain with the request to communicate the Pre-Application meeting to you. I believe
I spoke with Patricia on the phone after the email to her in January as well. It was my understanding
they were communicating directly with you, which may be incorrect based on your email chains.
I am happy to speak with whomever you think will help push your case. This is a straight-forward
process for the review and recording in Renton, but with this being King County property they would
need to be involved and agree with the proposal.
We have provided one of your close neighbors the same contact information for King County as they
also did not have a BLA done to realign the boundary. It is my understanding they did not pursue the
request.
I apologize for continuing to miss your calls. We are still teleworking and I receive notification of
voicemails but am challenged in answering the phone directly.

I just checked and do not see a Pre-Application with their property. I also have not been contacted
since.

Hi Amanda,
I was just wondering if the Petett’s ever submitted a pre-application for their new home. We have not
heard anything on our end but I just wanted follow up to see if you have heard anything.
Thanks,

Patty,
Good afternoon! I just left you a (LONG) voicemail but wanted to follow up with an email. The City
reviewed the request for the 13’ and what challenges or requirements that would bring for permitting a
single-family home. I recognize that you are not involved in the single-family home part, but the lot line
adjustment does play into.
There will be variances required in order to build on this lot and potentially a shoreline variance which
requires DOE approval. Also, property and utility setbacks will be challenging. Our thought was to have
Dr. Petiett submit for a Pre-Application meeting with the City of Renton and provide the conceptual plan
for the new home. This would help us to understand what the final layout and plan is for the property
to better provide you the requirements that would be necessary on the Boundary Line Adjustment. The
Pre-Application is reviewed by Engineering, Planning and Fire to provide a detailed response to future
property development. Single family homesites typically do not have a Pre-Application meeting, but
given the unique challenges and opportunities with this site we want to provide as much information as
possible up front.
I have not been in contact with Dr. Petiett since our conversations in May. I am happy to provide this
information to him in an email as well, if you think that is best to keep this project and request moving
forward.

Happy New Year Patty! I am working on tracking down more information from our Planning and
Engineering group to make sure there are no objections or additional requirements. Will circle back
with you once I have a meeting and hear back from the group. Thanks!

Good morning Amanda,
I hope you had a great holiday! I have been working on a request for a property line adjustment for the
property owners at 3827 Lake Washington Blvd N. I know we have previously stated that King County is
not allowing adjustments but we are revisiting this one and from your e-mail below it sounds like you
did some research on property information. Is there a time I can set up with you to talk about this?
King County is specifically concerned about access issues that may be created if we allow the 13’
property line adjustments. Are there any City of Renton requirements for access such as emergency?
Please let me know if we can talk about this early this week?
Thanks!

Perfect! Thank you for the direct answer as that helps. I know this was a challenging one, so I
appreciate your efforts in working on getting a response.
I will reach out and let the property owner know. Thanks!

The property they want to do a BLA with is yours (the trail), so I would assume that you would need to
weigh in as you would be a signer on the property and would need to be involved in the property
transfer. That is why I am reaching out. If King County is not in the market to do a boundary line
adjustment with this property, then this is a dead end and I would need to communicate that to the
owner who is reaching out to us.

Hi Amanda,
Sorry for the delay in my response. I spoke to Robert Nunnenkamp and he is not sure whether this is
the same property owner he spoke to a while ago but he notified them that King County does not do
BLAs in this area. He said he referred them to City of Renton since the property is in Renton. I’m not
sure how we can help. You can tell him to give us a call.

Patricia,
Good afternoon! I wanted to check in to see if you have any additional information for me on the
discussion we had last month about a Boundary Line Adjustment with the Eastrail and 3827 Lake
Washington Blvd. Hoping to provide next steps for the property owner. Thanks!

Good morning! This is a slightly unconventional way to reach out, but I am hoping to get some direction
and/or a person with the Capital Planning and Land Management Parks group.
I received an inquiry from a citizen at 3827 Lake Washington Blvd N (3342700100) regarding his property
lines. He was requesting our support in working with King County to perform a Lot Line Adjustment as
per the direction he received from Robert Nunnenkamp (I believe based on my research). I was hoping
to get my information about the process and to understand how to support the citizen. I did quite a bit
of research on this area and am familiar with the boundaries and encroachments challenges. I think a
quick call or video call (given our current status) would help me to communicate the questions better.
Thanks!
