Hi Claudia - we typically do not require traffic studies for short plats. However, our engineer and
transportation may require additional information during their review if deemed necessary.
Thank you,

Alex:
I have a question: Will Mr Varma have to do a traffic study of what will happen to 158th when all the
new traffic from this proposed development hits the residents?
Thanks much.

Hi Claudia,
Thank you for your comments. I have added them to the project file. Staff evaluates the potential for
traffic impacts as part of the preliminary short plat review process. Any findings or recommendations
will be contained within the preliminary short plat final decision.
Thank you,

When most cities do traffic analysis, they multiply the number of new homes (9 in this case) times 100
for the daily number of new trips — trucks, visitors, residents, Fedex, UPS, mail. How will all this new
traffic affect SE 128th — will there be a new stop light at SE 128 and 158th to accommodate this new
development? that KC residents will have to pay for and what about 160th — how will this new
development affect 160th Avenue SE?
I will be telling the current residents that they need to talk to you about the traffic that is coming and
that Renton. I am letting Highlands Neighbor and 4 Creeks people know what will be coming for the
residents of 158th Avenue SE.
Have a good day.

Alex:
I saw what was written in the prep document about 20 trips per day. Is that realistic? Will the
developer — Mr. Varma have to study how the new homes will impact SE 128th St.?
You won’t mind if I have all of the neighbors contact Councilman Dunn or yourself for help in
solving this potential problem?
Thanks.
Claudia
