The reason for the request is that the actual surveyed measurement between the monuments at Park Ave N. and Burnett Ave N. and N. 31 st St is 1299.77 feet instead of the 1300.00 feet shown on the original plat. This is not an unusual situation in survey. Each of the 25 lots in the block would be shortened their apportionate share of the shortage which in this case is 0.02 feet—roughly 'A of an inch. When Mr. Steadman purchased the lots. He assumed the lots were 50.00 feet in width as shown on the plat map, assessor's map and Kroll's map. Until the property was actually surveyed, Mr. Steadman had no way to know of the shortage. The discrepancy is minor and granting the variance will not impose any hardship on adjoining properties.
