CITYOFRENTON,WASHINGTONRESOLUTIONNO.4450ARESOLUTIONOFTHECITYOFRENTON,WASHINGTON,ADOPTINGTHESOUTHKINGHOUSINGANDHOMELESSPARTNERS2022WORKPLANAND2022OPERATINGBUDGET.WHEREAS,onMay24,2019theCityofRentonenteredintoanInterlocalAgreement(ILA)witheight(8)othersouthKingCountycitiesandKingCountytoformtheSouthKingHousingandHomelessnessPartners(SKHHP);andWHEREAS,pursuanttotheILA,eachparticipatingjurisdictionmustapproveSKHHP’sannualworkplantoguidetheworkoftheSKHHPstaff;andWHEREAS,thepurposeoftheannualworkplanistoprovidemanagementandbudgetguidancetoimplementtheoverarchingSKHHPgoalstoworktogetherandshareresourcestoincreasetheavailableoptionsforSouthKingCountyresidentstoaccessaffordablehousingandtopreservetheexistingaffordablehousingstock;andWHEREAS,the2022workplanincludesthree(3)majorstreamsofwork:governanceandadministration,policyandplanning,andoutreachandeducation;andWHEREAS,thegovernanceandadministrationworkstreamincludesprogram-widemanagementactivitiesincludingestablishingdecision-makingprotocolsandreportingproceduresandconveninganadvisoryboard;andWHEREAS,thepolicyandplanningworkstreamincludesadvocatingforandestablishingaSKHHPaffordablehousingcapitalfundandcollaboratingwithpartnerstoenhancelocalpoliciesandprogramsthataccelerateaccesstoaffordablehousing,protectexistinghousingstock,andprovidehousingsecurity;and1
