ORDINANCENO.6036Per100Cubicfcet$3.51-/100cf$3.58/100cfusagechargcPereachadditional100CubicFeetusagechargeover750CubicFeet3.ChargesForSewerServiceWithoutCityWater:IntheeventthatwaterobtainedfromsourcesotherthanpurchasedfromtheCityiseitherdischargedordrainedintothesewersystem,usersshallbechargedbyone(1)ofthetwo(2)followingmethods:a.Forsingle-familyresidences:2021Rate2022RateSingle-Family$31.12$31.74b.Forotherthansingle-familydwellings,thePublicWorksAdministratorordesigneeshallinstallawatermeterintosuchprivatewatersystematcosttopropertyowners,andthemethodofbillingshallbeincompliancewithSubsectionA.2ofthisSection.4.(Rep.byOrd.4898,3-19-01)B.SeparateSewerExemptMeter:WhenevertheuseofwaterissuchthataportionofthewateruseddoesnotflowintotheCitysewersystembutislostbyevaporationorusedinirrigation,manufacturingoranyotheruse,andthepersonincontrolprovidesproofofthisfact,suchpersonmayapplyfortheinstallationofaseparatesewerexemptmetertomeasuretheamountofwatersousedorlost2 ORDINANCENO.6036andnochargeshallbemadeforsewagebecauseofwatersousedorlost.Asewerexemptmeterapplicationwillbemadeinthesamemannerasaregularwatermeterinstallation.Allsewerexemptmetersshallbelocatedatthepropertylineoradjacenttotheregularmeter;provided,however,anevaporationexemptionmaybegrantedtocoin-operatedandcommerciallaundrieswithouttheinstallationofasubmeter.Suchexemptionshallbeanelevenpercent(11%)reductioninchargeablewaterconsumptionforcommercialandindustriallaundriesandathreepercent(3%)reductioninchargeablewaterconsumptionforcoin-operatedlaundries.C.ServiceOutsideOfCity:Theratestosuchspecialusesshallbeoneandone-half(1-1/2)timesthebasicCitywaterratesapplicabletoresidentusersforsimilarservicesplusanymonthlyfeesleviedbyKingCountyWastewaterexceptthatsuchexemptionsanddiscountsasprovidedinRMC8-4-32andsubsectionsD.4andD.5ofthisSectionshalllikewiseapplytotheserates.D.AdditionalCharges:InadditiontotheforegoingchargesspecifiedinthisSection,thefollowingratesshallbecharged,inaccordancewiththelnterlocalAgreementwithKingCountyWastewater:1.Single-familydwellingunits:Single-FamilyResidential:2021Rate2022RateKingCountyWastewaterCharge$47.37$47.3749.27KingCountyRateAdjustmentCharge$0.00$0.002.Allusersotherthansingle-family:3 ORDINANCENO.6036applicabletothosecustomersnotresidentsoftheCity.ToreceivethisexemptiontheapplicantmustprovidetheinformationrequiredunderRMC8-4-31.C.3.E.InstallationOfSewageMeter:Whenevertheuseofthepublicsewerissuchthatinfiltrationand/orinflowisevidentfromaprivatesewagefacility,orabuildingsewer,wherethesewerflowistwo(2)timesinexcessofthedailymeteredwater,theWastewaterUtilityEngineeringManagershallinstallasewagemeterandchargetheregularmonthlyratesandchargesforcustomersinthatclass,forallinfiltrationandinflowandsewagethatitdischargedintothepublicsewers.Allcostsandexpensesincidenttotheinstallationandconnectionofthesewermetershallbebornebytheownerorapplicantofthepremisesinquestion.F.RateRevenueForCapitalPurpose:Aportionoftherevenuegeneratedfromtheaboverateswillbeusedforsewerutilityrelatedcapitalimprovementprojectsand/ordebtservicesforthesameasindicatedintheadoptedbudget.AlsoincludedintheaboveratesareapplicableStateandlocaltaxes.G.RemissionOfSewerRates:WhenawatermeterhasbeenturnedoffpursuanttotheprovisionsofRMC8-4-10,theowneroroccupantmayrequest,inwriting,aremissionofsewerrates.Noremissionofrateswillbemadeforaperiodoflessthanonemonth.SECTIONII.TheseratesbecomeeffectivewithbillingscomputedonorafterJanuary1,2022forthe2022rates.SECTIONIII.Ifanysection,subsection,sentence,clause,phraseorworkofthisordinanceshouldbeheldtobeinvalidorunconstitutionalbyacourtorcompetentjurisdiction,6
