Dear Mr. Zirkle, The owner of the property shown shaded green on the attached prints would like to vacate the portion of the 16' alley shown shadede red in Block 11 of Car Works addition to Renton. Since the state is the adjacent property owner the City would require that the state consent to this vacation. It is normal practice on a vacation that the prop- erty owners acquire one half of the adjacent right of way to be vac- ated, however these rights can be relinquished by one owner in favor of the other. r \Would you please review this matter and advise if you have any ob- I jections to the vacation in question. In our meeting you advised me that State and Renton have entered into I ' an agreement wherein the entire right of way ownership in that area . would be transferred to the City of Renton. This transfer has not in fact taken place only because the required documents have not been created and recorded. Therefore , I 'respectfully request that you furnish to me written notification that Highway Department has no desire to acquire an ownership interest in the subject alley resulting ' from the vacation, and that the Highway Department has no objection to the vacation.
