The subject site is located at 616 E. Perimeter Road (APN 0723059007), totals 167 acres in area and is located within the Industrial, Medium (IM) zone. The hangars proposed for demolition are approximately 5,566, 6,486 and 8,188 square feet in size and located on along the southeastern portion of the airport at 400, 450, and 500 E. Perimeter Rd. No parking would be removed as part of the proposal. In addition, no vegetation or trees would be removed as part of the proposal according to the applicant. Access to the site would remain off of E. Perimeter Road. According to COR maps, the site is located within a High Seismic Hazard Area as well as the Cedar River (Shoreline of the State) Reach, a High -Intensity Shoreline Overlay district. A Flood Hazard Area, specifically a Special Flood Zone AE, pursuant to the FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) is located on the subject site but is not near the area of the proposed demolition. An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). This Determination of Non-Significance is issued under WAC 197-11-340. Because other agencies of jurisdiction may be involved, the lead agency will not act on this proposal for fourteen (14) days. Appeals of the environmental determination must be filed in writing on or before 5:00 p.m. on December 13, 2021.
