Subject:NE 6th St Short Plat, LUA21-000344
Thank you for your comments. I apologize for the delay in responding, however we had been working with the applicant
to revise their plans to comply with City requirements. You have been added as a party of record for this project, as a
party of record you will receive copies of City correspondence and any decisions issued on this project. I have included
your comments in the official file for consideration by the decision maker.
Your comments included concerns with regards to drainage, retaining wall stability, access off of NE 6th St, and property
maintenance:
1. The short plat improvements would be reviewed by a City engineer for compliance with the City of Renton
Surface Water Design Manual for drainage improvements.
2. With regards to the existing retaining walls, the applicant would be required to demonstrate that the existing
retaining walls would be sufficient to accommodate the new sidewalk improvements and driveway access along
NE 6th St.
3. Any concerns regarding existing property maintenance should be forwarded to our code compliance
department at codecompliance@rentonwa.gov for their review.
4. NE 6th Street is a public street owned and maintained by the City of Renton, access of the NE 6th Street would be
reviewed by our Transportation Department for compliance with City street standards, which include the
construction of frontage improvements (curb and gutter, street tree planting strip, and sidewalk improvements)
as well as driveway requirements (including site distance and property line setback requirements).
Thanks,
