I apologize for the delay in responding, however we had been working with the applicant to revise their plans to comply with City requirements. You have been added as a party of record for this project, as a party of record you will receive copies of City correspondence and any decisions issued on this project. I have included your comments in the official file for consideration by the decision maker. Your comments included concerns with regards to drainage, retaining wall stability, and access to NE 6th St: 1. The short plat improvements would be reviewed by a City engineer for compliance with the City of Renton Surface Water Design Manual for drainage improvements. 2. With regards to the existing retaining walls, the applicant would be required to demonstrate that the existing retaining walls would be sufficient to accommodate the new sidewalk improvements and driveway access along NE 6th St. 3. The proposed short plat would be required to install frontage improvements along Nile Ave NE and NE 6th St. Required frontage improvements would include curb and gutter, an 8-foot wide planter strip with street trees, and sidewalk. There may be one or two street parking spaces that would be impacted as a result of the new driveway access off of NE 6th St, however we have reviewed the proposed layout and determined that access off of NE 6th St is the only feasible access available for the proposed short plat.
