Thanks for your interest in the VMAC Natural Grass Resurfacing Project (LUA21-000448). You have been added as a
party of record.
Based on the probability of the subject site being near the mouth of May Creek there is a higher likelihood of cultural
resources discovery through ground disturbing activity. However, all the material to be excavated from the project site is
clean, imported, sand material added above the existing three-foot (3’) soil cap layer (with a small amount of organic
accumulation) and no native soils would be disturbed during the project. Pursuant to with RCW 27.53.060 and RCW
27.44.020, if any Native American grave(s) or archaeological/cultural resources are found all construction activity shall
stop and the owner/developer shall immediately notify the City of Renton planning department, concerned Tribes’
cultural committees, and the Washington State Department of Archeology and Historic Preservation.
