Honorable Mayor •
and Members of the Renton City Council
City Hall
Renton, 'Washington
Gentlemen: •
In order to properly perform under contracts with the United States •
Armed Services we find it necessary to utilize certain space on our
premises which previously has served as parking space for cars of
our employees.
We are desirous of accommodating these cars in ,a different parking
area located on our property in the northwest corner of Block 13 in
Car Works Addition to Renton. Immediately adjacent to this area to
the south is city-owned property which has been designated as an
alley but which has never been used as such. The city-owned property
in question is described as the west 801 of the alley in Block 13 in
Car Works Addition to Renton.
•
•
As we presently have insufficient space for the cars which we wish
to assign to this area, we respectfully request that we be granted '
permission to use the above-mentioned city-owned property for an
indefinite period. It is understood, of course, that the city would
be in a position to terminate such use at any time upon giving reasonable
notice. -
Very truly yours,
PACIFIC CAR AND FOUNDRY COMPANY
