Home My WebLink AboutVAC - S 127th St ORDINANCE NO. 1513 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, VACATING PORTION OF SOUTH 127th STREET, RENTON, KING COUNTY, WASHI NGTON . WHEREAS, a proper petition for vacating portion of South 127th Street, between 87th Avenue South and 88th Avenue South, in the City of Renton, King County, Washington, as hereinafter more particularly described, was duly filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on December 29, 1954, signed by all of the owners of the property abutting upon said portion of South 127th Street, sought to be vacated, which petition was on that day received and read at the regular meeting of the City Council, and iHEREAS the City Council, after due investiga- tion, did fix the 5th day of April, 1955, as the date of public hearing on said petition and directed the Clerk to give notice of said hearing in the manner provided by law; and WHEREAS the City Clerk has duly caused notice of such hearing to be published and to be posted for the time and in the manner provided by law; and WHEREAS a public hearing was duly held upon said petition on the .day so fixed at a regular meeting of the City Council and no protest or objection to the granting of said petition or the vacating of said portion of South 127th Street having been made, filed or received, and the City Council did at that time vote to grant said petition for vacating, subject to certain reservations; and WHEF.EAS • the City Council finds that the vacating of the hereinafter described portion of this street is proper and advantageous to all concerned and will serve the public interest and will not cause injury or damage to any properties or persons, but the granting of said petition is in the public interest; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: Section I: The following described portion of South 127th Street, to-wit: The 60-foot street right-of-way, approximately 200 feet long, known and s a e outh 1 atdf located betty 87t ` lno�e South � �8venue South, in Latimer's Lake Park Addition, City of Renton, King County, State of • Washington; RESERVING unto the City of Renton the following described easement for all public purposes and uses, to-wit The north five feet of the south one-half and the south five feet of the north one-half of the sixty-foot street right-of-way known and • designated as South 127th Street, and extending from the east margin of 87th Avenue South to the west margin of 88th Avenue South in Latimer' s Lake Washington Park Addition to the City of Renton, Ring County, Washington . BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY vacated, subject to the reservation hereinabove specified. Notice is hereby given that a petition to vacate the below described South 127th Street between 87th Avenue South and 88th Avenue South, Latimer's Lake Park Addition, recently annexed to the City of Renton, King County, State of Washington, has been filed with the City Clerk and the City Council of the City of Renton by all of the owners whose private property abuts upon said below described street, and that the 5th day of April, 1955, at the hour of 8:00 P.M., at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Renton, has been fixed as the time and place at which a public hearing will be held by the City Council, upon said petition, and that all persons interested therein or objecting thereto,. may file their objections in writing with the City Clerk, before or at the time of hearing thereon or may appear and be then heard.
