NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF RENTON
NOTICE OF HEARING ON PETITION TO VACATE THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 22,
PLAT OF RENTON HIGHLANDS, RENTON, WASHINGTON.
Notice is hereby given that a petition to vacate the below described
alley, subject to a reservation of ten feet, in Block 22, Renton Highlands
Addition, Renton, King County, State of Washington, has been filed with the
City Clerk and the City Council of the City of Renton by the owners of all of
the property abutting on the alley, to-wit 100%, and that the 14th day of
June, 1955 at the hour of 8:00 P.M. at the City Council Chambers in the City
Hall of the City of Renton, has been fixed as the time and place at which a
public hearing will be held by the City Council upon said petition; and that
any and all persons interested therein or objecting thereto may then and there
defend and be heard.
The alley sought by said petition to be vacated is described as follows:
The northerly one-half ($ feet) of the present alley abutting the
southerly line of Lots 3 to 13, inclusive, Block 22, The southerly
one-half ($ feet) of the present alley abutting the northerly line of
Lot 2, plus Lots 14 to 27, inclusive, Block 22, Plat of Renton Highlands,
situated in the City of Renton, King County, Washington, as recorded in
Volume 46 of Plats, Pages 34 to 41.
RESERVING unto the City of Renton the following described easement for ill
public purposes and uses, to wit:
Five feet on each side of the centerline of the existing 63ixteen foot alley

Gentlemen:
Submitted herewith for your consideration is a pe-
tition for the vacating of the alley in Block 22, Renton High-
lands Addition. The petition has been signed by the owners
of all the property abutting on the alley with the stipulation
that a 10 foot easement be conveyed to the City.

Members of the City Council
Gentlemen:
We, the undersigned, owners of LOTS 2 to 27 inclus-
ive, BLOCK 22, RENTON HIGHLANDS ADDITION, hereby petition your
honorable body to vacate the sixteen (16) foot alley which a-
buts.upon the above described properties. We agree, as attest
by our respective signatures, to convey to the City of Renton
a perpetual easement on the five (5) feet of property adjacent
to the centerline of said alley for the purpose of construct-
ing, operating and maintaining public utilities.
