Based on our conversations, we specified a list of concerns, comments, and pictures in the attachment, and also included HOA information. Project Name: PR22-000057: Castro Short Plat/ LUA22-000053,SHPL-A A List of reasons for opposing the construction proposals as follow: The map site is incorrect and shouldn’t be highlighted included our houses and parks. 1. Oppose trees retention/reserve: a. Trees are topple and falling recently due to repeating heavy excavation and flatten in a recurrent process, soils and roots starting disengaged, trees are in wide degrees of oscillating with the wind. City of Renton investigated and asked them to removed failing trees in the past. b. The tree near our fence was leaning and seemed ready to fall, very dangerous and life threatening. Without pruning and maintenance, the branches extend almost to the roof, and every few days, heavy seeds and twigs clog the gutters and add additional flooding to the foundation. c. The pointy, leafless branches are like a crossbow full of ready-to-fire crossbows, putting everyone at risk, including animals. d. Mass of seeds and branches are all falling on the road and always completely covered our storm water conduit and obstructed the water passage which created massive of turmoil environment, rainwater back up into crawlspace, specialized conduit cleaner are hired frequently for this matter. 2. Oppose the connection of storm water, sewage, plumbing, gas line, and electricity to our properties: HOA paid a substantial of money on property management into maintenance monthly to keep our road clean and clear. Proposed solution: Connect utilities from their property to the main street (SE Petrovitsky RD) 3. While building a new home can enhance the landscape, potentially increasing the value of the overall price, it also creates traffic jams that interfere with our daily activities, noise, dangerous road blocking, flying dust, disrupting our good night’s rest, etc. Suggested Solution: Compensation is one of the solutions to this problem. Thank you in advance for your efforts to keep the environment as quiet and safe as possible! Best Regards, John Hung CAUTION: This email originated from outside the City of Renton.
