SUBJECT: SW 27th Street/Strander Boulevard Deed of Dedication
In January of this year the City and The Boeing Company re-recorded the Boeing
Longacres Binding Site Plan (LUA02-022), which was previously approved and
recorded in February of 2003. This action was necessary as the proposed SW
27th Street (Strander Boulevard) right-of-way alignment in the original Binding
Site Plan was not in the City’s preferred location. The Boeing Company and the
City of Renton agreed to amend the recorded Binding Site Plan and record a new
Deed of Dedication.
As a result of the Boeing Longacres Development Agreement (CAG02-211) and
the approved Binding Site Plan, the City Council authorized the Mayor to sign the
Deed of Dedication on June 2, 2003 (see attached). The original Deed of
Dedication and Real Estate Excise Tax Affidavit was signed by Mayor Tanner on
June 6, 2003; however, the minor re-alignment has triggered the need for a
revised Deed of Dedication and Real Estate Excise Tax Affidavit (attached for
your review and signature).
The City’s Property Services Section, Development Services Division and
Transportation Services Division have reviewed and approved the documents for
content and technical accuracy. Upon your review and signature, the documents
will be forwarded to King County for recordation and the property in question will
become City right-of-way. Please feel free to contact me or Jason Jordan at
