The project lies in King County Tax Parcel 7227802040. The parcel being the Public Use Tract of Renton Highlands #2, Correct Plat as recorded in Volume 57 of Plats, pages 92-98 records of King County, Washington. The total tract contains 2.23 acres per the King County Assessor. The address is 2902 NE 12th Street, Renton, WA 98056. Land use permits required for proposed project The project is a short plat which is creating a smaller parcel for the old City library to allow the City of Renton to sell the library and maintain the rest of the land for City ownership. The proposal will also adjust the lot line for parcel no. 7227801776. A short plat approval is required from the City of Renton. Zoning designation of the site and adjacent properties The project site and adjacent properties are zoned R-14. Current Use of the site and any existing improvements The current use of the site is Governmental Service – Old Highland Library. Special site features (i.e. wetlands, water bodies, steep slopes) No Special features are on the site. Statement addressing soil type and drainage conditions The current soils according to USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service map, the soil is AmC Arents, Alderwood Material, 6 to 15 percent slopes Proposed use of the property and scope of the proposed development Not applicable, no change of use is proposed as part of this project. For plats indicate the proposed number, net density and range of sizes (net lot area) of the new lots This project is a short plat, the library property will have an area of 61,133 square feet, the school property will have an area of 0.32 square feet and the northern Public Use Area lot will have an area of 71,628 square feet. Access The current access to the site is off of NE 12th Street.
