The right lane outbound on NE 4th St, between Monroe Ave and Union Ave, will be shut down for sewer main repair.  Downtown Utility Improvement Project. Installation of underground utilities is complete. Pavement restoration has been delayed due to weather and schedule constraints from a March 28 start date to an anticipated start date of April 18. Paving will take approximately 2 weeks. On completion, manhole lids will be adjusted, and pavement striping will begin in the month of June. Expect lane closures and detours as the paving operation moves around the downtown core. Dr. Anna Clark-Jones, Renton, reviewed her life experiences, and expressed concern that she had been nominated for appointment to the new Renton Equity Commission but had not been selected. Mayor Pavone thanked her for service to the country and Renton community, and noted that it was a difficult decision to select nine persons out of the 36 applicants for the new commission. He stated that it was not his intention to make anyone feel slighted who was not selected for appointment, and that he would personally follow-up with Ms. Clark-Jones.
