Hello City Planning Commission,
These are my comments for tonight's meeting. Unfortunately, I will not be able to
speak. Please distribute to all Planning Commission members and interested parties.
I'm sending this link as New Bloomington IN is the most recent city in the United States
to adopt a Humane Pet Sales Ordinance, becoming one in over 400 cities to adopt this
regulation.

animal shelter, ban on sale, Bloomington City Council, cats, dogs,
Humane Society, Indiana, kitten mill, ordinan...
Moving forward with this ordinance now is important because although the owners of
these stores repeatedly state "these are not puppies from puppy mills" that simply is not
true. I've also attached a recent paper trail showing J.A.K.S. (large wholesale
broker/middle man of puppies) to Puppyland Renton. Even the vaccination records show
that the puppies are overmedicated, over treated for some pretty serious illnesses that
occur when puppies are born in unclean environments.
