Hello Mayor Pavone,
I am a constituent from Earlington Park. I was deeply disturbed to see the opening of a Puppyland location on Rainier
Ave. There is a great deal of credible evidence demonstrating that puppies sold at Puppyland are inhumanely sourced
from puppy mills. As the owner of two formerly abused dogs, I know firsthand the behavioral and health issues that can
come from this kind of an upbringing.
I would strongly urge Renton to pass a humane pet store ordinance. This would cost the city nothing, and ensure that no
other animals are faced with this well documented trauma.
